This is a compilation of the recommended maintenance schedules from the factory Helm service manual and Haynes manuals.
250 miles (weekly)
- Check the engine oil level
- Check the engine coolant level
- Check the windshield washer fluid level
- Check the brake fluid level
- Check the tires and tire pressure
3,000 miles (3 months)
- Check the power steering fluid level
- Check the automatic transmission fluid level
- Change the engine oil and oil filter
7,500 miles (6 months)
- Check the windshield wiper blades
- Check the battery
- Check all under hood hoses
- Check the brake system
- Check the power steering system
- Rotate the tires
15,000 miles (12 months)
- Check the clutch pedal height and free play
- Replace the air conditioning air filter
- Replace the engine air filter
- Check the differential fluid level
- Check the suspension and steering components
- Check the exhaust system
- Check the wheel alignment
30,000 miles (24 months)
- Replace the spark plugs (standard plugs)
- Service the cooling system
- Replace the brake fluid
- Check the EGR system
- Check the engine ignition timing
- Check the fuel system
- Check the engine drive belts
- Change the automatic transmission fluid
- Change the manual transmission fluid
- Change the differential fluid
- Reset the maintenance required indicator
60,000 miles (24 months)
- Replace the spark plugs (platinum, iridium, etc)
- Check the engine idle speed
- Check the PCV valve
- Replace the fuel filter
- Replace the ABS high-pressure hose
90,000 miles (72 months)
- Replace the timing belt, inspect the water pump (DIY includes prodecure for water pump replacement)
